Children explore their inner voice and the expression of it across art mediums, movement and music. Sign Language is taught through games, songs, visual cues and peer interaction.
Through hands-on manipulation of materials, children internalize the concepts of size, dimension, color, weight, form, smell, taste, sound and texture – and eventually the language to verbalize them. These materials encourage versatility and experimentation, as well as order – eventually elevating to concepts such as geography.
The child gains tools and knowledge to complete and understand his sensory exploration of the world. The sensory materials enable a child to clarify and internalize such concepts as size, shape, color, taste and sound. The sensorial materials also provide a basis for the development of other skills, such as music, mathematics or language.
children use hands-on materials to acquire the experiential foundation that will lead them to the abstraction of mathematical concepts.
